This Is Where We Are-
Gordon Area is set in one of the most scenically beautiful parts of Scotland - just west of the 'Granite City' of Aberdeen. We are mainly a rural area, with rushing rivers to paddle, swim and fish in, or canoe on. Mountains high and low. Rock faces for scaling with or without snow!
The main townships are Inverurie, Alford, Huntly and Ellon, four towns well worth a visit. The area is also known as 'Castle Country' with grand houses, Castle Forbes, Castle Fraser and Haddo House being just three of the many. Castle Forbes and Haddo House are available to Scouts for camping.
We have a small, but excellent Area Campsite and Training Ground at Daviot - a village just outside Inverurie.
